The excitement of OUR team doing so well, or the sadness of the other team slaughtering us. But needless to say, being there was all the fun. Just getting out and yelling, cheering and smiling with pride no matter how our team did. Of course, MY team was one of the rival teams of the Knights. Imagine my delight, years later, at hearing my grandson (Cameron Vlietstra # 74) would be playing football for Norrix. I was (and still am) so very, very proud. And then being invited to come and watch his first football game. The team worked so hard and played so well. Sure there were calls, and the first goal being called back because of a call on the play, but I was and still am so proud of ALL the guys on the team. They played their hearts out, and made me so proud to be sitting on the Loy Norrix side. I cheered my heart out. I have not enjoyed a football game as MUCH as I did watching our guys play. Keep up the good work and have fun playing Knights. This grandmother will be sitting in the stands, proud and cheering all of our players on. |
